The Nissan Qashqai was the UK’s hottest new automotive of 2022, and the primary British-built mannequin to high the annual gross sales charts for twenty-four years.
Figures launched by the Society of Motor Producers and Merchants (SMMT) verify that the home-grown Qashqai – which was designed in Paddington, engineered in Cranfield and is in-built Sunderland – was the nation’s best-selling automotive of the final 12 months.

Total, 1.61 million new vehicles have been registered within the UK in 2022 – the bottom stage since 1992.
